Singapore is a beautiful and clean city and the Singapore Zoo set in its tropical surroundings
is a pleasure to the eye. There are no fences or barricades to keep the animals in. The zoo is designed around
the concept of using plants and water to form barricades around the animal pens and it has worked very well. You get
to see the animals in what appears to be natural surroundings. They have a breakfast tour with the Orangutans, where
while you are served a delicious buffet breakfast a mother and baby Orangutan are also eating their breakfast and then afterwards
you can take photos of them or have your photo taken standing right next to them, it was a wonderful experience because nowhere
else would you be able to get this close and interract with these beautiful creatures.
When shopping in Singapore for a particular item especially an electronic item, research the item before
leaving home, price, specifications etc., and remember that the salesman are liars and will tell you anything to make
that sale. Make sure everything is in the box before purchasing and don't let it leave your sight once deciding to purchase.
I would not personally buy anything electrical from Lucky Plaza or Simh Lim Square, and if by chance you feel you have
been scammed you have the right to call the police and they will sort it out for you. However on the bright side I did
find a wonderful perfume shop in Lucky Plaza which was run by a lovely Indian Gentleman, his perfumes were all genuine and
he stocked all the major brands for about half price of what we pay here.
While in Singapore we also enjoyed a lovely dinner cruise on an authentic Chinese Junk boat, it was a lovely
evening with good food and company.
